To celebrate our 10 year anniversary, I surprised my husband with a private dining experience at home and it could’t have been more perfect. Simon came to ur home and created an unforgettable evening filled with incredible food, warm hospitality and genuine conversation. Every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, leaving us both speechless and satisfied. Simon’s calm and welcoming presence made the whole evening feel relaxed and intimate, like having a good friend cook for you, who just so happens to be an exceptional chef! It was a night we’ll always remember and one we are already hoping to recreate again with Simon.

I wanted something special to celebrate my 60th birthday - an intimate family dinner - but who would cook? A friend recommended The Coastal Kitchen Co as they had catered for her before. First phone call and Simon was very accommodating and happy to listen to what I had in mind. He emailed me back with a sensational menu and the planning started. Family arrived (all 17 of us) for drinks served with the delicious canapes and then the most amazing meal followed by dessert. Simon and his team blissfully took over the kitchen for the evening and served us a five star five course dinner - they catered for the gluten free and vegetarian members of our family too. We had a wonderful evening and what made it so special was that we didn't have to lift a finger or clean up. Highly recommend Simon and his team - we will definitely be booking in again for another magical and memorable evening!!

What kind of events do you service?
The Coastal Kitchen Co helps you host your next dinner party, family gathering, corporate event or birthday feast in the comfort of your home, office or holiday house. From intimate gourmet dinners to business opening events, we’ll make sure that you and your guests are served with class.
We do seated dinners, roaming canapes, grazing tables, themed cooking classes and more.
We create the perfect menu for your event, cook at your place, feed your crowd and leave your kitchen sparkling. It’s that simple!
What’s included in the price?
The cost includes your professional chefs, all ingredients, preparation and the kitchen clean up. Additional charges depend on the type and size of your event and the location.
Any additional charges on the quote will be itemised, for example additional kitchen staff, service staff, bar tender or equipment hire.
The event is booked and guaranteed when the deposit is paid.
What if one of my guests has an allergy?
No problem! We are able to cater to all common allergies. Either we consider the allergies at the time of the menu planning or we cook a special menu for the individuals.
What about our little guest?
Don’t worry, as part of your event, we’ll feed the kids, the band, your event coordinator and whoever else might be involved in your event.
But what about drinks?
We can organise fancy cocktails, matching wines or any other drink to suit the occasion, of course along with an RSA certified drink service staff member.
Of course you can organise drinks yourself as well.

The Coastal Kitchen Co was born in 2024, but it was shaped over three decades in world class kitchens across the globe.
Born and trained in Switzerland, Simon built his craft in fine dining restaurants and luxury hotels across Switzerland, Queenstown, Malaysia, Port Douglas and Melbourne before finding his true home on the Mornington Peninsula.
After falling in love with Melbourne’s incredible food scene, Simon officially made the Mornington Peninsula his permanent family home. Having cooked everywhere from the tropical seafood hubs of Port Douglas to the fast paced kitchens of Melbourne, Simon has become deeply immersed in the local dining culture and the great produce Victoria has to offer.
